Performing Ensembles
JAZZ ENSEMBLES
 The Ridge View jazz ensembles, which are also open to all students through audition, give the members a chance to grow through other styles of non-symphonic music -- including swing, bebop, fusion, rock, funk and latin. The program itself changes from year to year, based on the student instrumentation and musical interests. The ensembles, which rehearse and perform only during the Spring semester, have consisted of a full 18-piece big band, a jazz octet, smaller combos and a fusion-rock ensemble. The jazz program strives to give students a "real world" experience through performances for local events, organizations and corporations.
