Dear Ridge View Band Parents,

On most Mondays this year, I will be sending emails to all band parents with news and reminders. Thanks for taking the time to read these!

The staff is very excited about this year’s Marching Band! This year’s camp was the best that I can remember. The band members have a terrific attitude and work ethic, and we make great strides every day. I hope that you can join us at football games and contests – also, make plans for “Dinner and a Show” coming on September 18 after our Mini-Camp. We’ll present the entire show for the first time with all the bells and whistles in our JV Stadium behind the school. Some of our band dads will be grilling the best bar-b-que chicken you’ve ever tasted! Bring the entire family for a great night. More details to come…

Time to order you 2010 “Tonight” Show shirts!!! Every Marching Band member will receive this year’s Show shirt for free. It was part of your Band Camp payment. Students can order an additional shirt(s) for themselves or parents and friends. Parents – you will want to be wearing one in the stands at the contests!!! The black t-shirt will have the “Tonight” logo on the front. The back will have each band members name. The cost is $10. Thursday will be the last day to pay and order.

Thursday – Last day for Marching Band members to purchase a Show Shirt.
Saturday – Marching Band Senior’s Pool Party / Cookout

Sept 1 – Scales Test #1 for Symphonic and Concert Bands
Sept 2 – Last day for Marching Band members to pass off “Adagio” from memory for an “A”
Sept 3 – Marching Band meets at 6:00 pm in Summer Uniform for our first Home Football Game
